I am an Adelaide-based artist, living and working in Kaurna country. A graduate of the University of South Australia, I completed my final semester of my degree on exchange in the United Kingdom at the University of Sunderland, based in the National Glass Centre. Following graduation in 2011, I attended the Jam Factory associate program in 2012.
In 2013-2017, I co-founded an independent group studio in Croydon, South Australia, with fellow ceramic artists, Sophia Phillips and Stephanie James Manttan. During the four years that the studio was in operation, I produced work for wholesale and numerous exhibitions and collectively, we completed numerous council-funded community projects, working with local schools and local residential groups in community activation projects. In 2013, I was also invited as an Australian delegate to attend the Macsabal wood fire symposium in Zibo, China. I have also completed residencies in Korea and Japan (2016 respectively).
In 2018, I completed my honours study at Adelaide Central School of Art, where I explored heteronormative approaches in the medical field and the impact on the queer body through the lens of my own lived experience. Following my studies, in 2019 I secured employment as a Ceramics and Sculpture Lecturer at Adelaide College of the Arts (TAFE SA) and as an adjunct Lecturer for Flinders University, delivering the Creative Arts (Visual Arts) Bachelor & Honours Program.
2024 will see me collaborate with my favourite person, Caren Elliss under the project title, 'Shiny Co. where we will continue producing our functional range for direct sales and selected wholesale, alongside my ceramic sculpture practice.
